Ribbon, a platform designed to help users connect with friends and meet in person, underwent a complete overhaul that included updates to every aspect of the product. As the pandemic began to ease, the focus on facilitating in-person interactions became particularly relevant and inspired us create utility for that purpose.
We recognized that the original brand was closely tied to a specific design era and it was difficult to see how it could remain relevant today. As a result, we proposed a rebrand, which was not initially requested but we believed we could make a strong case for it and ultimately save time by establishing a solid foundation to build upon.
And after the rebrand...
We designed hundreds of screens and dozens of user journeys, as well as a component library for Ribbon to use in the future for creating additional layouts with ease.
Since development was outside of our scope for this project, we focused on meticulously laying out every UI state to ensure that everything was accounted for.
